Do you tend to use sarcasm?

Postby Forever Flamed » Thu Oct 27, 2005 12:32 am

Alright, I've noticed that I never use sarcasm. And I was wondering if other avoidant people also don't use it. Sarcasm seems to be the way modern society enjoys humour. When someone is being sarcastic it makes me laugh. However, I never make sarcastic comments or jokes in person. And I'd have to know someone pretty well before I do it too, I guess its my level of comfort. The funniest people use it in every other line, in other words its 'wit'. It makes someone seem real and you feel connected. I think I'm missing a huge deal by not being able to use it. I could have a great personality if I did.

Sarcastic? Me?

Sarcasm is a way of life in northern England, and my whole family communicate almost exclusively through it. Difficult to imagine me turning out any other way.

I sometimes use sarcasm just to sound funny. I don't mind if someone uses sarcasm on me, but sometimes what they say might hit a nerve and I get sensitive.. I guess I can dish it out, but can't take it back in.
