There is something not completely right though.
As I ain't really all too bothered with an untimely or early death, more something that I consider pretty much inevitable.
However I do have a very very very high fear of spiders and insects (and anything that looks like it), but they didn't come up here.

i looked at that list when i completed the questionnaire; it's a list of items that got high ratings from test-takers on average. it has nothing to do with your ratings

Roller coasters = fun? I've been in very mild version. It was nightmare. People are crazy. Or was it me? No one could put me in one of those things.

I'm with you!

... except my daughter loves them, so I ride them with her as I figure if something is going to go horrible wrong I should be there.

Re: Fear Schedule Survey Questionnaire

Postby Ullteppe » Wed Mar 21, 2012 2:05 pm

Stumbled across this thread while looking for something else. I am not officially diagnosed with APD, though, but I recognize myself in some of the symptoms. My result was 222.

My highest scores (7) were on illness, injury, getting involved in fights, suffocation and being with a member of the opposite sex. The first four I'm thankfully not faced with very often and so far not to any serious degree, but the latter is something I struggle with. A part of me still wants intimacy with other people from time to time, but whenever I find myself in a situation where something might actually happen, I get so terrified that the only thing I can think about is how to get out. So I tend to pull away before it even gets to that point.

I also find normal physical contact a bit stressful, unless I feel 100% in control of what is happening. Even trivial things like giving someone a hug, being in narrow spaces with many people in close proximity and so on. Of course, it is impossible to avoid these things if I want to have a life, so I have developed methods to cope with it somewhat.

@TS: You appear bright and fairly enlightened on these topics, so I have a question for you if you don't mind. Do you consider these two particular PD's (aspd and apd) polar opposites, and is that why you have an interest in comparing them? Because I am guessing you probably won't find many "average scores" in either camp.

I scored about 119, though I'm sure i understated just about every question along the way as i havevery little emotional memory, the wonderful attitude of "that doesn't look like it would bother me that much" only to finally be in the situation to find out you were a "tad" wrong. :P

153

My problem is with stuff like making mistakes, being a leader, basically anything where I'm judged. I could care less about being in a car, snakes, and things like that.

Oh no, I got a 174.

I really thought I had low fear. Most of my high scores were about things like sickness for family members. Ironically enough. Most of my close family is dead so... huh? Why do I still rate these highly.

Anyhoo.
