Whenever I'm depressed or down I just remember a few Bible verses. I don't know if you believe in God or not, but I'll quote some verses here, hopefully they'll be of meaning to you:

Isaiah 26:3 wrote:You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You.

Proverbs 17:1 wrote:Better is a dry morsel with quietness, than a house full of feasting with strife.

Proverbs 18:10 wrote:The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe.

Luke 12:22 - 34 wrote:Do not worry about your life ..... which of you by worrying can add one centimeter to his height? ...... do not have an anxious mind ...... seek first the kingdom of God, and all these things shall be added unto you ...... don't fear, little flock, for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus.
- Phillipians 4: 6-7

I'm really sorry to hear this... :( I'm sort of depressed no matter what the season is but it gets to be the worst during Christmas and New Years for me. Summers can be bad too just because everyone else seems to be having so much fun, going on vacation, ect. and us avoidants are usually left alone to sulk in our darkened rooms.

Try to focus on whatever small positive things you can, I know it's hard and sometimes impossible but stick it out... Hopefully tomorrow will be a lot better for you. *hugs*
And now I shall leave you with a semi-cheesy but true quote...

"The very least you can do in your life is to figure out what you hope for.
And the most you can do is live inside that hope.
Not admire it from a distance but live right in it, under its roof."

All thoughts are prey to some beast

Winter is alzo worse for me. Aré you doing some outdoor activity or exercise? The sun and fresh air help with depression? Don't tell me you haven't got anyone to go out with. You can go to take your dogs out, or sitting on a café to drink a coke or something.
The best is to imposse as an obligation, as a medecin an hour out of home at least. Take your time to dress up and look cool and go to do a route in the country, take the dogs to a new park...I guess you aré already doing all these things, right?

Starting in mid October through November seem to be my toughest months. I'll be able to out-bleak anyone on the board come then. :)

Same here SR. I like winter, it just doesn't like me. It can become difficult to do anything.

Hey mate,

This is the best thing you have done.. posted up your own thread :D
Unfornatly you can't put it down to a season it's bigger than that.

YOUR LOST TO WHO YOU ARE.

You need to see your doctor for a referral to a Psychologist.
Ask for a female pysch you need to feel nurtured, you won't feel this with a male.
I believe your ready for change, but there is a lot you have to get off your chest first.
You have a lot going on, you need a lot of answers from built up questions.

The questions are holding you down and not releasing you.

Yes, your a great guy and part of your frustration is that you know this, yet without answers how can you be the person within.

We can help you along way, but it's important for that one on one time.
Its time, deep down inside you know that.

Tell her all, don't hold back laugh/cry learn.

I love your attitude, Dwight, and the encouragement you give to others here. We are very lucky to have you here. I'm curious. Are you avie yourself and, if so, how far along the road to better are you?

Oh no winter is horrible for me. Perhaps because I live in the north of north America. Every day from January to March is a fleeping nightmare. Then I have no family for Thanksgiving and Christmas and that is torture. Then at work, I have to give my boss, who I hate, a gift every year and then every year he gives me one, and it is actually painful to get it no matter what it is. And every year it is as close to coal as possible.

That said, last year I hate a horrible summer. My mom as diagnosed with Stomach cancer on mothers day. But this summer was much better. So there is hope. {{}}
