AvPDs view of Cluster B's

Postby connector122001 » Wed Jun 29, 2011 7:58 pm

Do AvPDs view Cluster B PDs negatively or as "bad," mean or bullies? I'm just curious.

Although I'm a BPD/NPD, I have a number of avoidant characteristics, including introversion and social anxiety. In the past, I've had a view of Cluster B's as "bad" people since many lack empathy, etc. However, this was before I was diagnosed as one, ha ha. Before being diagnosed, I used to view myself as likely having AvPD if I were to have any PD at all -- clearly I lacked any insight into my condition. However, I still view Cluster B's as manipulative and am always on the lookout for them, so I won't get screwed.

Does anyone else have a similar paranoia of Cluster B PDs?

Back in my aviest of days I didn't like cluster B because of how manipulative they were and, having little social experience, how I feared I was defenseless against them. The exception would be certain Narcs whom I didn't mind.

Nowadays, I actually find histrionics entertaining, and that BPDs can be fun for a short period of time as well. Narcs I seem to dislike more now than before, and anti-socials my view hasn't really changed.

(Yes this post is follow of generalizations for the nitpickers out there.)
