Couldn't help looking that up. Guess it's best to stay away from drugs and alcohol. Look:

New study reveals attempted suicide often a snap decision fuelled by drugs and alcohol
As Australia tries to arrest its national suicide rate, new University of Western Sydney research reveals that many suicide attempts are unplanned, with a good portion of suicide survivors reporting they felt the urge to harm themselves less than ten minutes before acting on it.
Dr Marianne Wyder, a PhD graduate from the UWS Social Justice Social Change Research Centre, studied 90 people aged between 17 to 65 years, who had attempted suicide and had been taken to a hospital emergency department. She interviewed them as soon as possible after the event.

The study was carried out in collaboration with Westmead Hospital as part of an Australian Research Council Strategic Partnerships with Industry Research and Training (SPIRT) grant.

Dr Wyder found over half of the study participants - 51 per cent - tried to make a suicide attempt after thinking about it for 10 minutes or less, with an additional 16 per cent contemplating it for less than half an hour.

I want to add some information that I´m sure you all already know. It´s said that the bad weather plays an important role, too. That´s the reason why in northen european countries, suicide rates are higher than the countries in the south.

I want to tell another thing. I remember when a child from my country committed suicide after a long road of suffering. A group of children from his school were bullying him. This is something I really hate.

I'm pretty much a vampire anyway. I HATE the sun. I've been going out after dark. I used to only go out after dark years ago. Now I'm back to it. So I take 1000 IU of vitamin D every day. But there is no proven link of depression to vitamin D defeiciency. There may be something else about sunlight. Too bad. I don't like being out in the sun.

My Vitamin D was a 13 last time I checked (on scale of 1-100). Low D = low testosterone and #######5 everything, so i'm taking the 10k units

I didn´t realized that you, Steve, was still here. (A problem with my g.mail account).
Hey, honey. I know life is sometimes a ###$´ng $#%^. I´m also a social inept, so think that there are many people as you. For some reason, we find difficult to get a social life. Other people find difficult to get some water to drink everyday.
I know that these words sound empty at this moment. The only thing I can tell you, in a desperate situation, is that perhaps this life is only a dream. So let´s see what could happen in the future. In a dream everything can happen. Don´t think that tomorrow and the day after tomorrow will be inevitably the same as today.
Don´t loose your hope.

A day without orange juice is like a day without sunshine.

There's no proven link between any of the vitamins and depression. Vitamin C is needed to build collagen in our bodies, but it also is an anti-oxdant. It has never been proven that it has 'anti-cancer' capabilities. The area of vitamins and minerals is my speciality in Biochemistry. The most closely-related vitamin to depression is Vitamin D. This is believed to be the case because rates of depression are higher in latitudes either very north or south of the equator (where there is on average less Sunshine per annum).
