Dead aunt

I just found out my aunt died about a month ago. I got a letter from a lwyer who is the executor of the estate. I'm not a benificiary. It just said they had to notify me by law since I'm an heir. I only have a vague memory of her. I haven't seen or heard from anyone on my mother's side of the family since she died 30 years ago. I guess mom's brothers and sisters are getting into their 70's now -she had 7 sisters. I wonder if I get notified like this every time one passes.

thanks. But that alright. No one from that side of the family seemed to care at all about me. It's just odd hearing about her death. I guess I had kind of figured that theye were all gone already. My uncles on my father's side are all gone. Oddly, it was the oldest brother of the three who died last.

It has just got me wondering about that side of the family. I think they may all be a bunch of whack jobs. I travel down to that area of Massachusetts a lot. I sometimes wonder if the stranger standing next to me on the street is a relative.
