Is that an official mental illness? I was thinking about this after seeing that movie The Hurt Locker. It's about this guy who defuses bombs in Iraq. He can't find anything else he likes. He's hooked on the adrenaline rush from it.
it seems weird. I have enjoyed doing some risky things in the past. The adrenaline rush was pretty good. It was cool doing something and then running from the cops. I also used to love riding a bicycle in traffic, weaving in and out. I got hit by cars a couple of times.
But I never could beat the avpd.
Smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for breakfast.

That was a pretty good movie, with the exception of them sitting in that sniper pit for like 10 minutes, and the ending being slightly less 'deep' than I had hoped for. I was expecting some interesting reason for his actions, and it all boiled down to "I just enjoy war" which I found kinda lame. But the rest was great!
As to adrenaline, I have no clue if it is a mental illness or not. I can say that I definitely enjoy taking risks, but am usually prevented from taking them due to avoidant tendencies.

I think the idea was to show you how hard it was to just sit there hour after hour. Imagine doing that and waiting for the next bullet? If you are running around you get to burn off the energy and adrenaline, but just sitting there and stewing must be worse.

Yah that was the idea, but I don't watch movies for those kinds of things.
