I'm finally getting rid of my chalky lava dental crowns tomorrow morning. 8 am. First thing. I've written about it before in this forum and the depression forum. I've been battling the dental material allergies and sensitivity for 4 long years now and it's got me worn down. I hope this solves the problem. It might. It might not. If it doesn't I'm going to be very upset.
I'm also going to be upset if this dentist charges me a lot. He should do it for free. Last year I asked his to put in Ivoclar pocelain. 6 months later after complaing to him and Ivoclar about the chalky taste I was getting from the crowns I found out the guy put Lava zircon crowns in instead of the stuff I asked for. Lets hope he puts them in first before asking for money. If he puts them in and askes for money after I'll give a good argument. But I'm in so much discomfort I may have to shell out if he wants the money up front.
Smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for breakfast.

Good luck Parador. Hopefully the new ones won't cause you any pain and the dentist doesn't charge you.

Good luck man... if he doesn't do his job than sue his ass. If it makes you feel any better I'm going through dental problems myself... I've been in pain for the last week from an impacted wisdom tooth and found out I'd need to get all four wisdom teeth pulled... for some reason this on top of all the other #######4 in my life has really sucked the will to go on out of me. I can only imagine how you feel going on four years...

Hope it went well. If that happened to me, I would have knocked all his damn teeth out years ago.

He did it this morning and he didn't charge me. These feel less chalky than the other set. I'll have to see how I feel over the next few weeks. If I still don't feel well enough I could try a glass ionomer sealant. I asked him about that but he said he would have to etch the glaze off these crowns which would ruin them if the sealant didn't work. That would cost a lot more money. I'm going to be living in a cardboard box if this keeps up.

If I see the original dentist who put all that acrylic in my mouth - even after I had told him I was allergic to it - I may punch him out. But the last time I punches a guy they found a way to lock me up for 2 whole years. I filed a complaint against him which has gone nowhere.

You gotta love how multi-purpose a ski mask is. It's not just for snow anymore...
