I read that avoidants have problems remembering other peoples names here - http://www.tljones.co.uk/apd/apd.htm

I'm terrible at remembering names.
Pink ribbon scars that never forget, I tried so hard to cleanse these regrets...

wow, never knew being bad at remembering names could be linked to avpd. If always had a lot of trouble with names. Some kid i talk to in psychology remembered my name after the first week of the class and i can't even remember if his name started with a R or A and there's 4 days left in the class.

Zahra wrote:I have always been a good memory to remember names of people, places.... even foreigner names. Since more or less two months I have to put a great effort to remember them. I don´t know if it could be a side effect of the med for Social anxiety and depression.

For instance, now I was try to recall a group to stick a Spanish song in MY THREAD and I have to look for the name in google. And it´s a band really well known by me.

The day before yesterday in an appointment, I seem silly when I try to replay to a question or I try to beggin a topic because there are a word or a name I can´t remember. I didn´t go much importance but ...

Can someone related to this?

Yes it can be a side effect of your medication. I am on adderall for ADD and I forget things all the time. It's not severe to the point where I have total amnesia. I will just have a bad memory with some things. Especially if I take something out of the fridge and put it down. Later I will ask "who the hell took this out and didn't put it back!?" They all say it was me.
