wiped out by computer virus

Postby Parador » Tue Apr 21, 2009 5:45 pm

I got hit by a virus a couple of weeks ago. tha's why i haven't been around. Everything is fried. I bough a new used computer. I'll see about hooking it up later. The work computers are fried too. Nobody can do anything. I'm on beak at a wintern now. It's not great but I can get online. can't do any work with it - e-mail or print. But I can do the things I'm not supposed to do like chat, shop and look up porn.

It's free cone day at Ben and Jerry's today.

I may be back. maybe not.
Smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for breakfast.

Jeez, what kind of virus did you catch? It wiped everything out to where you had to get another comp? That's just nasty.

I don't know much about computer viruses. All I know is that this is a nasty one and it spread tolots of computers. Some people even lost info in their cell phones when they tried to connect to work. I have internet on my cell but it is a major pain - slow. And the screen is so small I need a magnifying glass to read it.

I ate 10 free cones at Ben and Jerry's the other day. Then I did a 40 hour fast and saw the National Philharmonic of Russia in Boston.

My cat has been doing worse too. He stopped eating the treats that I put his pills in. It was nearly impossible to get a pill in him even with one of those pill shooters. I got some liquid medicine the other day. That's going in better but he still hates it. I called that radiocat place that does the radioactive iodine therapy which cures the condition. It's $1300. And a 3+ hour drive. There may be a place in Canada, but I'm not sure I could bring my cat back because he will be radioactive for a few weeks. Would they let a radioactive cat into the US?

I'm glad I didn't ask you to email me any opera music!!! What is this free cone day at Ben and Jerry's all about? I don't know about the whole customs thing holding your cat or not. I think you should be okay as long as you hit the border in daytime. That way, they won't be able to notice that your cat is glowing.

poor kitty.
I don't think they would, usually animals like cats or dogs can be brought back and forth between here and the states but they have to be healthy and have all their updated shots, paperwork etc.

They have been doing free cone day at Ben and Jerry's scoop shops since 1980 or so. It's always in April. Usually the 3rd week. It runs from noon to 8 pm. many but not all shops participate. The one in the mall here doesn't. But there's the factory and the scoop shop in the city. They get about 8000 people come by in those 8 hours for free cone. You can get a dish too. This year I mainly got dishes. They ran out of cones at 7 pm. I went up after work and got a mint chocolate chunk then went and lifeted weights. Then I went back after 6 pm and had chocoatle macadamia, chocolate therapy, half baked frozen yogurt, one whirled peace, goobye yellow brickle road, banana split, vanilla heath bar, choc cheesecake, and chocolate fudge brownie frozen yogurt. they had run out of one new flavor - peanut butter cookie dough. bummer!

Do you have a Ben and Jerry's scoop shop near you?

But they must have radiation detectors at the border. I'm not sure if he would set one off. I really don't want to risk that.

How on earth did you get to eat 10 times if 8000 people showed up during the day? I would imagine there to be a huge line. That's a good question. I don't know if there's any Ben & Jerry's around here. There must be since there's everything here. I don't think I've ever even tasted their ice cream. Did you hear that thing PETA wanted B&J to do? If they ever go through with it, I'll be a customer for life.
