But 2 avoidants would both avoid eachother so neither would find out their avoidant :lol:

I agree, but if they both knew of each others avoidance, then I think its wholly possible that it could work. As they can say, there can be no fear among cowards >.>;

I wonder if an Avoidant and Avoidant relationship would work.
I would like to be with someone like myself but I wonder would it be like a Panda scenario.

I think the most difficult if not impossible to overcome challenge for two avoidants would be to actually get into a relationship as none of them would make a start.
But if it was possible: At least it's unlikely they would not cheat on each other and they would perfectly understand each other's issues. And they would not be annoyed by having to meet with their partners friends (at least not MANY friends).
But there might be some drawbacks also. If both hide their own feelings but both crave for reassurance it might be very difficult.
Maybe they would both be motivated to seek therapy if this is necessary for maintaining the relationship.

My wife has never been diagnosed with AvPD or anything, but she is pretty much like me in a lot of ways. Were both really shy around people, we never had but just a couple friends, none of which we've both spoken to in many years. We never go anywhere other then grocery shopping once every two weeks. Most of the time she spends in a different part of the house then I, about the only time we see each other really i guess would be dinner, and sleeping. Only things we do seem to do together other then that is we both play the same online games mainly World of Warcraft, and play first person shooters every now and then. I First meet her on a local BBS, years ago before the internet was mainstream, talked to her on there for quiet a long time before i got enough courage to even meet her in person. Dated for 6 years, will be married for 4 years this November. Its had its ups and downs for sure, as i would assume any marriage has.

I wouldn't even know how to be in a relationship with a normal person.

What do normal people do?
