I want to bury my feelings with food, but the fridge is empty. :(

If you must do that, then at least do it with fruit.

I'm an emotional eater too. Eating is an intimate (it happens inside your body, that's as intimate as you can get) physical sensation that immediately grants pleasure, be it through the comfort of stimulation, flavor, or the rush granted by sugars, fats and simple carbs. I have a hard time understanding how some people can not be as obssessed or comforted with food. For me, food = sex, only more easily enjoyed and attainable.

It's trite as hell, but if you cut out the junk food, it will help. The modern diet is filled with so much crap that keeps us addicted to quick blood sugar spikes, but if you revert to water and unprocessed food, you stop craving that stuff. Swear to god. Your palette heals and you can start enjoying real food like vegetables, fruits, healthy meats and such, which have a variety of pleasurable textures and tastes. Then you can eat for fun and comfort and not feel as bad about it.

I almost missed this: Why is your fridge empty? You poor thing.

Eating to deal with emotions is a really bad thing to start doing. I go running each night to calm myself otherwise i would probably go on a killing spree. You might want to try some kind of exercise or if you need to eat something atleast have something healthy.
Remove the warning labels; evolution should take care of the rest.

Nobody realizes that some people expend tremendous energy merely to be normal. ~Albert Camus

Probably that's also true for me. But I reduced eating binges to less than 5 times a year. It's really my last resort when things are too bad. But I found other strategies (writing down my thoughts or making phone calls). The good thing is, I can enjoy food much more when I'm really hungry and don't use it as a compensation strategy.
Luckily, I have good genes - I'm only very slightly overweight and that's okay for me.

Drowning your feelings with booze is more fun.
