Is AvPD well known in the Australia mental health communtiy?

Hi everyone.

This is my first post here.

After just coming across AvPD a couple days ago, I'm now 99% sure I'm an avoidant. Like the subject heading saids, is AvPD well know about in Australia mental health community?

I can say I haven't hear of it until a couple of days ago.

There were a buch of people from down under in my previous group. I am not sure how many mental health people know AvPDers though, since they do not seem to go to therapy much.

I have only been to one counsellor, so I can't answer for everyone, but the counsellor I see knew about AvPD, she gave me some extra research material on it as well.
