As hard as AvPD is, I'd rather be Cluster C than Cluster B anytime. Cluster Bs attract genuinely negative attention. They are often widely disliked and openly criticized. I cringe for them even if they aren't aware of it because often they are and conceal it.

Sociopaths are incapable of true love or empathy. That is a hellish, nightmarish reality. They may not even be human. Many are human predators who are heartless but not gutless. I'd never want to be one or even be around one.

I've worked around a few (a lot) in a prison setting. They are empty and some are arguably simply evil. Horrible fates for anyone, even those who society agrees are the scum of the earth.

A lot of my life is an expression of anxiety. The psychopathic personality has fascinated me by seeming to represent freedom from anxiety and its outgrowths - all that tedious introspection, depersonalization, excessive interpersonal monitoring, etc.

A very good book on Antisocial-PD is available online here: http://www.cassiopaea.org/cass/sanity_1.PdF

After reading books like this one, though, it strikes me that someone with Antisocial-PD is only incidentally blessed with an immunity to the symptoms of AvPD. Psychopathy is an erring-on-the-other-side. If my complaint is that strange inhibitions make it hard for me to get what I want out of life, then a disorder that would make me able to get what I want but unable to feel its meaning would be a terrible cure. I wouldn't cut my tongue out for a chance to live on delicacies. Reading up on this subject has given me some welcome perspective on AvPD.

This is kind of late. :P

I have to agree with Iron Maiden.

I don't see anything admirable about these "mean" anti-socials. They're "weak" and egocentric. They think in this entitled and "I'm always right" sort of way. If someone challenges this (even if they were "right"), they are heartlessly ripped apart.

Again, the anti-socials are always the right ones who must get their way. Don't mess with this, no matter how agreeable(spelling?) your reasons. You're inferior in worth and status, and disagreeing with what they do or think is an insult or a threat.

Anti-socials are sensitive and emotional. They just relieve it by lashing out on others. Weakness.

Haha, that's good. I'll have to remember it. :D
