I know what that's like... My teachers in high school all disliked me for some reason. Maybe you could sit closer to the front of the classroom?? I used to do that in school because all the "tough guys" sat in the back and they'd always try to start stuff with me so I just sat up front and didn't say anything unless the teacher asked me a question, which was not all that often. I'm sorry your teacher's such a jerk, though..

Been there, felt that way. Even now at some low points I have to repeat myself many times because my voice seems to "loose pressure".

Yeah, it sucks for the minority that schools aren't designed around their needs. If you are able to, I would suggest talking to the teacher after class about it, but I'm too shy to do that. That's what sucks about being avoidant and in my case, teachers don't really like me in the first place because of my ADHD behavior. I feel your pain and also wish there was just some simple cure to all that holds us avoidants back. Everything seems so hopeless

I often get asked to repeat too when I order in restaurants. The person at the other end of a table often miss what I say... I also hate going out in loud places, I get exhausted trying to speak louder than music and crowd.

But on the other hand, some say I speak quite loud when I'm on the phone... :?

You might want to consider talking with Disabled Student Services. I had them write some exceptions for me for my PTSD. I was able to get a seat in the back, I was also excluded from some of the participation rules if I requested. Often the participation rules meant I had to meet with the instructor separately to answer questions and show I knew my stuff a few times each quarter, but the instructors rarely asked me questions in class. If I raised my hand it was my choice - but I was never put on the spot.
