Hi,

Your comments helped me a lot. I had an interview for a new job today, but i was overwhelmed by issues in my actual job and couldn't relax myself.

So i did a lot of walks, tried to eat sane, talked to some people that i like, did a little meditation (mindfulness) to arrive more or less relaxed to the interview.

Skyflyz, the problem in my job is that i'm in total confusion on what i'm supposed to do, but the (new) manager told me that i was responsible of confusion, myself. It's kind of reverting responsibility. I can take distance intellectually, but it's difficult emotionally.

NoM8s, do you mean that they didn't allow you to do meditation??

Hepzibah Pynchon, thank you for little tricks, i liked them.
I have other little techniques. Like writing or drawing for instance, very freely. Or in a crowded place, look for a quiet corner. Or eat some sweets, which helps me very temporarily.

Monday_Sunshine, gym is really excellent to me. And walks.

It's a long story. The meditation that I did was a spiritual practice with a guru in India and it was a bit too much like a cult for my liking, although I did believe that it worked and it's hard to describe but I could feel it. I suppose it was changing my brain chemistry like a drug, or that's how it felt and they didn't think that you should be mixing drugs or alcohol with meditation. It's like that with most systems of yoga though. Sooner or later they start telling you that you shouldn't be smoking or drinking or eating meat. It's moralising but they try to say that it's just because those things are bad for you, so whatever...

I tend to perceive it that way too.

I suppose that if it was good for you, it was good for you. Hopefully there are other people doing it, with different minds...

Today, my normal technique didn't work. Whenever I play tennis, it usually does the trick for me and sets my brain on a wave of positivity. Well, it didn't work today because one of the women upset me, and's still late in the evening, and I'm still not yet recovered. She's the one player in our group that I have the least in common with.

I tried to read a good book which is the 2nd technique I use, but that didn't really work as well as it usually does either.

So, I've just been taking mini cat-naps today to try to "shut down" temporarily and reset my brain. Hopefully, my bubble will be restored by tomorrow morning.

A bubble is something quite precious, is it not? When I'm within mine, the demons don't come to harass me. It can be difficult to maintain that when you have a lot of external crap that happens though. It was the case recently and I had a bad phase where I was constantly attacked.

I could use healthier ways to get a bubble up and going. Doing exercise would be a good one, especially since I sorely need it. Otherwise, most of my methods aren't that great. My medication actually calms me down and helps me recreate my bubble ; the one I take at night anyway. I tend to binge eat though, especially when it's tough. I read that the spike of good feels that you get from it is like a drug, same as drinking cola. Other things I do is just game, play my games and try to get into them enough so that I don't think about anything else and give myself the time for my mind to be empty and rebuild my bubble. Sleep works as well because, at least, I don't have nightmares that disturb me...most of the time anyway.

When the bubble is in place, the demons aren't there to attack me. I can usually daydream and speak to my guardians. They do what they can to keep the bad away. Of course, they become powerless when the barrier falls.

It's a good idea to figure out healthy ways to keep the bubble up and running. I readily admit my methods aren't the best out there, but I'm guessing I did what I could with what I had, in terms of energy and available resources (psychic and otherwise). I think the best way to sum it up is when the bubble collapses, you need to figure out a way to take care of yourself so you can give yourself enough of a positive vibe to build your defenses back up.

Of course that's another story entirely when you are overwhelmed and it's easy for you to be overwhelmed (like being hypersensitive for example).
Overcome with despair and hopelessness...

It's what happens now in my job place.

Yes.

I'm sensitive and need secure environment. I lost it in my job place. New manager explains that everything will be changed but doesn't say what there will be instead and fakes asking opinions to people.
But his project of removing all structure can't be questioned.
Now there are incredible tensions and every one is in survival mode.
Some people are sick or depressed.
I tried to stay quiet until i find an other job.
But there are so many problems i'm forced to deal with.
Human problems. Nice people, very attentive, begin to hate each other because they are in unbearable situation.
I don't sleep well anymore.

Today i have a test for a new job
But i forgot to follow your advices (and mines)
and didn't make sport during the week end :(

I'll try to sleep a little more
and concentrate tomorrow (it's a written exam)

(i slept after this post. maybe it helped rebuild my bubble. there was no drama in the exam. Have an other appointment for an other job this week. It's exhausting to look for an other job when there are problems in the actual one. Better would be to sleep well and be self comfident. Going to drink a glass of milk, and back to sleep )

Best of luck to you! Job hunting is stressful.
