Here's my "something positive." My family consists of myself, 3 dogs and 2 cats. Cats and dogs must be kept separated or someone will die a painful death, unfortunately. The cats live outside, sleep and eat in the barn, and do their catly duties (hunting and resting). But they do come indoors in the winter months and I rotate dogs and cats from indoors to outdoors. It's very complicated, and one misstep on my part could have dire consequences!
Well, I've been hearing coyotes at sunset the last few evenings. I was able to coax one cat indoors last night and he slept with me all night! First time since last February. The dogs were banished to the living room all night. And everybody behaved so nicely during the rotation process! Much nicer to sleep with 16 lbs. cat instead of approximately 150 lbs. worth of dogs on the bed! But he was eager to go out this morning.
