Sometimes - but it seems exhausting.
I went to a music festival this weekend, and there were thousands and thousands of people there. My cousin picked me out of all those people. I can't imagine wasting my life looking at everyone who passes to see if it's someone I know.

Exactly, it's exhausting, disappointing, and generally makes me feel worse about myself when I do.
I'm jealous of people who don't get these feelings when the socialize. Who can, in fact enjoy it.

Too right!
And it's even worse if they can 'hold court' i.e. they can be the centre of attention and enter everyone in the group. Grrrr.
I've just turned into the green eyed monster....I'm just gonna slope off into a dark corner and mutter myself!

sorry, wasn;t trying to be a pedantic prick but changing the word changes how i think about the question so i thought of your Q differently when you said jealousy.
Anyways, ya, envious...even that is kind of a strong word for how i feel because i don't have any resentful feelings toward a person just because they can socialize (i feel hostile towards ppl for a bunch of other reasons tho). I just..wish i knew how to socialize.

I feel sort of envious, yeah, but that in turn makes me feel sort of inferior. I look over at a group of people talking and enjoying themselves and I think: "Damn... if only it was that easy for me".

When I watch TV shows, or movies I'll get envious of the people portrayed. Sometimes even of the Villain. I'll be like "this dude is an asshole, but at least he has a life and gets out" LOL...Anyone get this feeling from just watching TV?

No jelous, never. I take my hat off. And well, you can learn from them, too. You know, social skills.
