Backfire and false hope

Well, I think that my long awaited invite into the accepted world was just an inside joke targeting the shy kid. My coworkers are now whispering in the halls about things I said or didn't say and what I did or didn't do. My behaviour is obviously too appalling for normal people, and although they joke, I still don't understand what I'm doing wrong. Guess I should have seen this one coming instead of acting like a giddy child. From now on, I think Ill stick to the computer.

Yes, especially for there age, they are immature. But, in highschool, I just never learned to deal with issues like this. Still have to work on thickening my skin. . .
