There are different types of therapy and it depends on the person what will be the best fit for them. Some people might want to explore more than one type to see which is the best fit. Here is a short explanation of the differences between some types: CBT, REBT, and DBT:
https://www.tikvahlake.com/blog/understanding-therapies-cbt-rebt-dbt/I think you can search for therapists in your insurance who might be able to specifically do these types of therapy, but a general therapist (who doesn't specialize in these types) could still be helpful!
Also, any of the things you mentioned are totally healthy things to do in moderation! Video games, masturbation, TV/cinema, and chess are great stress relievers if you can balance it with your daily life. I struggle with feeling "addicted" to things like this too. It feels like I am trying to escape reality, or disassociating and doing them for hours. First off, I would say that is better than more harmful ways of escape (like alcohol for example.)
But I also understand even the "harmless" stuff like video games or TV affects my daily life in a negative way, like not having time to do chores because I do the other stuff for hours. Recovery Dharma is a meditation based recovery zoom meeting for all kinds of addictions. Most people are trying to quit drinking or drugs but there are people trying to quit video games or codependent behaviors, and all benefit from the teachings...
You can find a list of Recovery Dharma meetings here:

I'm sure there are other group recovery meetings for all kinds of addictions if you Google.
These kinds of meetings can help me stay focused on abstinence/harm reduction in between once a week therapy (covered by insurance.) I'm not doing 10000% great myself but these resources have helped me. Good luck my friend <3
