autistic mother

I think my mother is autistic. At least this is what my father has always been telling me. She seems to not understand nor read people's emotions. She just doesn't react when she sees emotions. How can I tell if she is autistic?

If I am in pain, she doesn't see it. she doesn't seem to udnerstand my needs. I feel like all my life I had to struggle, because my mother had problems understanding my basic needs, and I had to fight to survive. Sometimes I thought that it was intentional, that she was not just negligent and she subconsciously wanted me to die. But my father kept telling me that she just doesn't see things. I am confused. She is my mother, but it is hard to stand her.
