I am shaking with rage!

My daughter has autism and has a special needs aid for school. Well at bedtime today she started crying. Because the special needs aid told her she would cut her tongue of with scissors if she kept talking.

I am very angry her aid shod have known she would take it literally. I am going down to play hell in the morning.

My poor daughter must of been terrified.

i can't even begin to express just how wrong that was.. i am literally shocked and beyond words at this one.

Looked up the procedure for complaining very briefly and first of all you should ask for an appointment with the headteacher.. if they don't resolve it properly then ask for a copy of the schools official complaints procedure.

Oh gosh..How horrible and sad to say that to your little one.I am truly sorry.I am sorry there are such ignorant people in this world.You should be able to send your daughter to school and not have to worry about her being feared into submission....WHO would even say that?????Oh my. Thank you it took me a hour and a half longer to get her to sleep. Stupid special needs aid. Stupid woman she is supposed to be trained!

I spoke to the school they tried to say that couldn't possibly have been said. But I was firm and insisted it was investigated so they are looking into it.

^ i was expecting that response but hoping that they'd actually listen rather than jump straight into denial.
I had a very similar situation with my daughter and her teacher so know how much the schools tend to cover these things over..

How's the investigation going so far now and how's your daughter about going in to school..? Has the aide apologised to her over this..?
