Advice for ADHD and work

Postby jenniferf22 » Wed Apr 14, 2010 4:10 pm

Hi everyone,

Idk how many people on these forums are adults who are already struggling with this issue, or if you have any insight on it, because I'm a little nervous right now...I was just recently diagnosed with ADHD a couple months ago, but I've definitely had it my whole life. My resume and job history to this point is VERY diverse and long, but that could also be a little problematic and I see ADHD kind of manifesting itself in that. I've had so many jobs over the last 4 years of college in so many different fields. While that has helped me become more well rounded, and might make it easier to find work, I'm kind of afraid of having a full-time job and being able to keep it and be interested in it to where it will not affect my performance. Any thoughts? Thanks :)

Hi,

I also don't see myself being overly happy in any full-tme job, but that is why I have diverted my life's path to get to where I want to be. Right now, I'm currently well on my way to getting what I want. In previous jobs, I could onyly really last a few months at a time, but I'm now doing research and that's much easier for me to deal with. After this, I might become a lecturer which would also good. So, I'll ask you this: What position do you see yourself being happy - or at least content - in?
