Hi, I'm 18 years old. I have ADHD, depression, OCPD. I've been taking concerta ever since I was 9 years old. The thought of having depression never crossed my mind while taking this medication, until I got out of my toxic 3 year relationship. I wish I would've left sooner, I constantly say, "Its my fault" or "I could've done better" I hate the pity and the "I'm sorry" when ever I tell this story. I want to become better for myself, my family, my friends, and my boyfriend. I sometimes feel as if my relationships are hanging by a thread because I constantly push people out of my life and forget they exist. I recently told my parents that I have this overwhelming feeling of sadness all the time, then my dad comes out and tells us that he has been suffering from depression his whole life. A week later I go to the neurologist and she diagnosed me with depression. I told my family and friends, they were shocked and didn't believe me. They all said, "Out of all people, I wouldn't think you'd have depression." My dad told me that I remind him of Robin Williams.
Now that I've given you a little something, I have to ask. What anti-depression medication works best with Concerta? Doesn't make you gain weight and is ACTUALLY effective.
Thank you so much for listening
