Visuospatial? (and a genes discussion)

Postby Guest » Mon Feb 06, 2006 10:43 pm

Being Asperger's Syndrome makes me a very VERY visuospatial person obviously. I mean...thinking in pictures is about as visuospatial as it can get. And I KNOW I think in pictures. I drew things all the time as a little kid. If I watched a movie enough times it felt as I could play it again in my head. But aren't visuospatial people like me supposed to be more Math/Science people not Language/History people? My parents said I learned grammatical skills at a very early age....sooner than my brother and sister. When in school I was always drawing things...not usually what I saw..but things in my mind. When it came to Math class I struggled. It took me far longer than other students to learn multiplication tables. I still hate math....I have developed a small interest in Science though....especially Biology and Anthropology. I like watching movies. I could watch movies all day. Visual appealing and deep movies. I like the philosophy and visuals in the Matrix, A.I. and What dreams may come. I like Japanese rock music...especially Visual Kei and Oshare Kei. I like Japanese Dramas. Whenever leaving such media...it's like I take it with me...in my mind. It's like having Asperger's Syndrome gives me an Aesthetic...an extremely strong one.
When in art class the teacher immediately noticed I had a significant ability in art. Oddly....people have said "I draw like a girl".....I like drawing curved shaped as opposed to straight ones. I don't like drawing landscapes usually....when drawing things I either like to draw something surreal or the human body.....especially one certain body in particular....a Japanese celebrity that i've become obsessed with.....she...wow....she's the most beautiful lady in the World.
I like more what people have called "non-conformist" clothes.
It's not "non-conforming"...why does everyone think it's "nonconforming"? If I like Blue hair....I like it. I like it when people have piercings...not too many that's gross. It's best when you only one or two for accent. Like...one on the lip or eyebrow....or nose.
I've always notices I found myself most attracted to two types of people....Japanese(East Asian) and anyone with a mad sense of style....as in...the girls that fall into the punk/skater/emo/goth group. Sure...as a guy.....a person can be "attracted" to anyone...a guy can be turned on by a mannequin. But you know somebody is REALLY attractive when they look great with all their clothes on.
I like skateboarding, swimming and soccer(football). I love these sports so much that if I go long enough without doing them something feels off. I love in that swimming and skateboarding I can be thinking about things while skating. I get angy when people say "guys like Asian girls better because they are submissive" which is Buuuuuulllcrap. What's submissive anyway? I like girls with attitudes. If Asians are so "submissive" then it's a shame that they aren't more assertive. I like assertive girls alot. I've heard white girls who say they have a preference for Asian guys....Black girls who have a preference for White guys....White girls who have a preference for Black guys....the list goes on and on. Darwin was wrong about a few things. People are seemingly attracted to a certain set of genes more than others. When the laws in America went away(Thank you loving vs. Virginia! :D ) we saw what the most common form of gene need.....African American men gravitate most often to Caucasian women because of genetics and Caucasian men are most often attracted to Asian women when it comes to exogamy. Many times this is not the case but more often than not it is. Robert DeNiro must be more attracted to women of African decent because of genetic reasons. At the same time there some who Asian men tend to gravitate to Caucasian women quite naturally. Though a person can be attractred to people of all races apparently from observing people everyone seems to have one that they gravitate more towards. Unfortunately dating dispairities exist but I believe in the future they will slowly become less so. And so less African American women will complain that White women are stealing their Black men and less Asian men will complain that White men are stealing their Asian women. This is a sociological reaction of things that occur when people aren't seperated. People attract to a certain amount of genetic difference. It explains why relatives do not attract to each other....and throughout all cultures incest seems somewhat repulsive. Again it's because of genes.
It's obvious to see how much genetics determines people when people are born with mental disorders(such as my own) and physical disabilities. It's also obvious that some people are born gay when many people say how they wish they weren't gay...and that it's such a burden on them with their parents and community and all. One does not simply choose to deviate fromt the easy path. Eventually people will fight society for their what their genes decided.
People enter exogamous relationships because the genes within them had the best interest of their children in mind.
I have had several girlfriends...all of which were my own race.
But when in Japan and spending time with a lady which was Japanese....it felt so much more natural.
Why do some men like blondes? Why do some like redheads?
Perhaps so much more than we ever dreamed is determined by our genes. If it weren't for diversity and gene diversity there would be no Albert Einstien...who's Asperger's Syndrome revolutionized the World. I have done research on Asperger's Syndrome in Japan and the rest of the World. Mostly Japan...because I plan on returning very soon. I've learned that the general misconception of Japanese people is...well...hard on the parents and children....children a very social at a young age in Japan...so when a Japanese person is born with Asperger's Syndrome it is very VERY noticable. Mothers in Japan focus more on social skills than American mothers do. And in Japan people think that the family has focused to hard on the child's intellectual ability and not enough on social skills. The child will be teased at school for his lack of social ability as much as an American child would...if fact the child is likely to face more hardship because of lacking social skills than an American child would. Hopefully the World will soon better understand and respect those with Asperger's Syndrome....for what we are...gifted.
We are destined for great things.
