Asperger's and Celebrities

Postby Tren-t » Fri Dec 02, 2005 3:57 am

I heard that Woody Allen, Bob Dylan and Peter Sellers...may have had Asperger's Syndrome.

Anybody have any opinions? Any historical figures literary geniuses who may have had Asperger's Syndrome?

Van Gogh, Warhol, Henry Darger, Lewis Carrol, George Orwell, W.B. Yeats, Beethoven, Wittengstein,

They all probably had Asperger's Syndrome.

Michael Jackson

I have a strong feeling that Michael Jackson has Asperger Syndrome. He exhibits many of the symptoms: inability to relate to same-aged peers, emotional underdevelopment, need for seclusion, and of course his musical and artistic talents. He is the epitome of a "child in a man's body."

But Michael Jackson certainly doesn't have any motor coordination problems...oh right, yeah when he dropped that baby out a window.

Asperger's. Easy.

Each Aspy is as different and unique as a fingerprint. Not every Aspy has exactly the same symptoms/issues.

That was a mistake to which he himself admitted. He became caught up in the moment. Think about it: a hundred or so fans screaming to see your baby, and you wondering what to do. It could have driven him into a state of indecision, at which point his judgment slipped away. I've had that happen to me numerous times (though not involving a baby). People on both sides demanding different things from me, so much so that I finally break under the stress.

He did realize later on that such was the case and apologized accordingly.

How's about Elijah Wood. Yeah, I'd say Beethoven too. 8)

Don't forget Einstein. Keeping company with good old "Al" can't be bad, can it?

Just my opinion, but I'd bet real money that Craig of Craigslist is an Aspie.

To continue the suspicions of Tim Burton being an Aspie, I found this website stating the similarities of "Edward Scissor Hands" vs. the life of an Asperger person. I found it interesting.
Normal Conversation: I think we should go out to eat today.
My Land: today! eat out? go. should we? i think! *flaps hands*
