Indigo Children

Hrmm, I was wondering have ya'll heard about these children they call Indigo's? I learned of the topic a while ago, and noticed an obvious correlation with Asperger's. They manifest young, and they believe it started in the 80s or 90s primarilly (with some earlier but they believe there will be a large rise)
(correlation to rise in autism? or is modern day classification truly making the numbers jump many fold, or because mild auties can and do function better in the world).

I am definently an "Indigo" if they exist, people I've spoken to and have heard of indigo's wouldn't doubt it. I have a feeling though that most indigos could truly be diagnosed as Aspies if they were to seek diagnosis. The interesting thing about Indigo's is that Indigo's seem to usually have a focus more around the fields I am interested in, particularily philosophy and theology, with AMAZING correlations. If i were to sit and speak with another Indigo, which I have in real life and online, we are AMAZINGLY alike. For example this one dude, Brandon, I met him for the second time when taking my GED test. It had been years since our last encounter, and once we started speaking, we talked hours about different subjects the entire time with no one else really understanding what we were saying... Most people who hear us talk about these things sit and listen and absorb, where as another indigo is capable of parrelleling.

I doubt any of our conversation was about concrete subjects either, mostly theoretical and self-discovered. The amount of correlating focus is pretty damn neat.

Here's a site, might be worth looking into:
Indigo Children http://www.metagifted.org/topics/metagifted/indigo/
(also has info on Indigo Adults, but like Asperger's it seems harder to diagnose in adults)

or just google it

as am I, which is why I wonder... is there a correlation? The only difference between indigo's and asperger's is the broad range that aspergers covers... though this could be explained if you looked at indigos as not only being covered around philosophy, theology, and things of that sort, rather covering apriori knowledge in general, which would then include mathmatics and anything not directly tied into experience.... the only thing that would not be included are emperical knowledge, or knowledge extending from experience, history, facts, ect... but i guess there are those who are aspergers that are focused around these things, it would seem that most autistic people are....

Though through my research since I have discovered the concept of aspergers I truly do not believe that it is an autistic disorder. I believe that yes, there is a similarity, but some studies suggest that the wiring of an aspergers is much more different then that of an autistic... And autistics are not very adept at abstract thought.

All I can say though, is I have met a few other indigos in person, and they are not normal... they are very very different then the common man. They are just like those with aspergers, just their focus is on the apriori, and the problems are thusly represented. They are working on similar things, without knowing it. I have met many indigos who when I get into a conversation with... I find that they are no different then me, just at different stages of the same path...

After looking over that webpage my first guess would be that Wendy H. Chapman has schizotypal personality disorder. Is there any support at all from the medical community for Indigo children?

Whoa, I fit all the characteristics of an Indigo including having an indigo aura (seen by my bro-in-law & husband who can both see auras) but that kind of new age stuff that she ties it to freaks me out. Lets just call us one of the Aspergers types. Bye!
