Take care of your body, and it's won't deteriorate as quickly. Actually at 18 you're not even in your "prime" yet I wouldn't have thought (I watch some sports...) so if you "F it" now you'll miss out on something this post shows you're quite worried about, or whatever.

I'm not a health nut preaching by the way, I smoke and stuff, but I've never really been bothered about my physical ability deteriorating, you seem to be that's all.

It doesn't start until your 50... And by then you would have an understanding of how to keep in shape. Just keep in shape until then...

Im 49, I hip hop/tutt dance better then most 18 year olds, I know , I get challenged by 18+ on the dance floors.

I have women of all legal ages interested in me when I walk in to a group of people. Age has not stopped the interest...

Stay thin,

Im a mountain biker
I lift weights.

you'll be OK. Keep your mind active...

I'm guessing that a significant part of your self-esteem is tied to your looks, athletic ability, etc. If that's the case, perhaps you're more worried about losing something you're proud of than growing old. Consider finding and/or cultivating other personal assets ...like an investor would diversify their portfolio.

That's weird, I felt like that when I turned 18 six months ago. I went through this whole thing where I just couldn't stand the thought of not being allowed to go to high school anymore (because I graduated), not being able to commit crimes and be tried as a minor (lol)...But as time went by, I guess I got over it. I can't stop aging from happening, so I might as well just grow up.

Enjoy yourself. I would love to be 18 again. Actually, no, I felt physically and psychologically my best between 20 to 22 yrs old. I feel like I've aged a lot. But a lot of it has to do with my past drinking and not exercising as much anymore. I am 29, but I feel like people older than me have more energy. So try and take care of your body consistently. But also remember that aging is inevitable. Do not value yourself completely on looks and your physical self. I looked good in my early and mid 20s, but I should have spent more time working on my self esteem and confidence and psychological hangups.

I think I look better now at the age of 45 than I ever have,I certainly feel better. My aspie traits have lessened somewhat through trial and experience.

It all depends on what aspect of your pshyical fitness your worried about.

endurance? you got until mid to late 30s before it starts to get a little tougher.
strength, flexibility, speed? mid 20's, possibly later 20's then it gets harder to keep it up.

a male marathon runner will likely be able to run marathons longer than a male gymnast can stay in the gym.

but 18 is not even starting. if your weight lift now, just wait til you turn 20+, you'll likely blow up like a balloon at that point.

The only reason it should worry you is if you aren't doing anything about it, but if your not doing anything about it, why are you worried if your not even trying? Which means, either you personally made the decision to not do anything about it, or you did your best. Either way, it was your decision, choose what decision you can live with the rest of your life.
