Brief introduction - newbie :D

Postby vraie*esprit » Sat Oct 08, 2005 6:09 pm

Heya :)

Ive posted a little but figure I prolly should introduce myself a little more coherently:S Not good at this stuff, but here goes.

I'm 23, I'm English, and I was *officially* diagnosed with AS last week, though it's been debated a while longer. My doctor actually told me there was a whole community online devoted to this and it's been scary, reading through posts and realising how like my way of addressing things some of them are.

It's nice to finally have an answer :D

I'm obsessive about my little pony and computers, plus I have a slight fixation with mediaeval history and languages (esp. french). I have a part time job in a library and I live with my family, including my sister. My Dad has some elements of AS and dyslexia, though he isn't an AS person himself (or if he is it remains undiagnosed at 63). My sister has compulsive tendancies and also has eye problems/dyslexia - so it's all in the genes, as it were :S

Anyhow, I'm glad to have finally found this place and hope that I'm gonna learn a lot more about AS and getting around it now that I know for sure that I have it :D

Hi! By the way, I like your use of the word 'prolly'. I'm American but my husband is from an English educated country and he laughs about the improper way we say probably. "Prolly?! What's prolly?" I even do it, and I thought I spoke pretty well. :D

So cute, I didn't even know they still existed. What's still left of it to be obsessed about? Just curious, as I see it as something that was big in my childhood (like the Turtles and GI Joe 'n stuff) but not anymore.
