Nortern africans aren't a pest because of their genetic makeup but their religion which kept them backwards and thereby unable to properly assimilate in a free society. Xenophobic? No. I have no phobia's of any sort.

I saw the coolest thing today. I was driving on the freeway in the center lane and in the right lane there was a pigeon flying 4ft off the ground and following the lane perfectly. I thought it would get hit by a car when I first noticed it but what it was doing was using the air streams from the cars in that lane to actually keep up with the traffic. I kept pace with it to see it's speed and it was maintaining 70 mph (~110 kph). I watched it like this for 1 mile until I pulled ahead.

In principle, very cool indeed. The fact that it was a pigeon not so cool... Pigeons are the equivalent to a rat with wings and just as sickly...

I would recommend a solo flight to all prospective suicides. It tends to make clear the issue of whether one enjoys being alive or not.

Replace pigeon with bird and read the story again.... I've seen this too and it's as graceful as can be. Above my house the (don't know the english name) Larus argentatus often hangs in large groups practically hovering on the airstreams, just moving a few wingtips here and there. They are huge and also impressive to watch how with almost no effort at all they just hang there.

The fact that it was a pigeon is what made it so cool. I never thought I'd see one of those fat little bastards fly 70 mph

Another one bites the dust: The low salt intake myth

In conclusion, low- vs. high-sodium diet in Caucasians with normal BP decreases BP <1%. A significant concomitant and persistent increase in plasma renin, plasma aldosterone and to a lesser degree of plasma adrenaline and plasma noradrenaline may contribute to the small effect of sodium reduction on BP. Furthermore, sodium reduction resulted in a significant increase in plasma cholesterol (2.5%) and plasma triglyceride (7%), which expressed in percentage, was numerically larger than the decrease in BP. The increase in triglyceride was numerically unchanged in studies with a duration of at least 2 weeks and in studies with sodium reduction to moderate levels of sodium intake. Due to the relatively small effects and due to the antagonistic nature of the effects (decrease in BP, increase in hormones and lipids), these results do not support that sodium reduction may have net beneficial effects in a population of Caucasians.

How about fluid retention? My grandma was told to avoid salty things in order to minimize them after some of her lymph nodes had to be taken out.

I read your answer as "It is all in the text, avoiding salty food for health is a myth".

Anyone know how the repressing of memories works? Not in the I want to try it sort of way.
