A joke made for an analytical aspie.....

A panda walks into a restaurant, sits down and orders a sandwich. After he finishes eating the sandwich, the panda pulls out a gun and shoots the waiter, and then stands up to go. "Hey!" shouts the manager. "Where are you going? You just shot my waiter and you didn't pay for your sandwich!"

The panda yells back at the manager, "Hey man, I am a PANDA! Look it up!"

The manager opens his dictionary and sees the following definition for panda: "A tree-dwelling marsupial of Asian origin, characterised by distinct black and white colouring. Eats shoots and leaves."

Nice! Thank you - your post inspired research, and some very enjoyable reading was discovered. My word of the day is, "Amphibology" and I'll spare you the boring parts. If you're an Aspie with a thing for words, you may find this right up your alley and can do your own research.

Here's some fun: There is a book entitled, "Eats, Shoots, & Leaves: The Zero Tolerance Approach to Punctuation"" and another called, "Squad Helps Dog Bite Victim".

If you like ambiguously funny newspaper headlines, here's a good site for these:

You know how stores (in the U.S.A.) have those "No Weapons" signs: How would a Servitor from Warhammer 40,000 be able to go shopping? Their weapons are bolted into their bodies, so it would be impossible to go into a store.

Its a good thing for me because now my parents can understand me better and know why I act the way I do. It also explains a lot to me personally.

That's good. Well then, congratulations!

I am seeking a diagnosis now also, I am hoping it will help me be able to do better socially, and my mom will believe me. She doesn't right now, and thinks I'm just weird and picky, and thinks I lie because I don't make eye contact much.

Thanks!

The doctor I saw is a specialist in Autism and Aspergers and said he had 10 years experience in the subject.

He told me and my mom that he noticed that I have trouble making eye contact with him and that he could see by my breathing that I was very tense when I was there. He also explained that Aspergers is the reason why I come off as rude, picky, arrogant, insensitive and have difficulty expressing my emotions and interests. I am going to see him again where he will test and examine me more thoroughly.

Interestingly, the first question he asked me was

"Describe what is your favorite flavor of food"

Hm. I wonder why he asked that. What is your favorite?

I couldn't answer that question. I stumbled and bumbled all over it. All I could say was that I didn't like vegetable or fruit. I believe he asked the question because he wanted to see how I express my emotions/feelings about something.
