The article isn't new but it is good. It's written by Joan S. Safran and comes from a 2000 issue of <i>TEACHING Exceptional Children</i>. It's about teaching AS children in the general education setting. She offers some practical helps on dealing wth 'meltdowns,' and what teachers can do to help integrate AS children into their classrooms.
If you're a parent of an AS child, you can point your child's teacher to the article or use what it says to help make suggestions on behalf of your child. (The suggestions are good ones. I know from experience that they work.)
