Yes thanks, now I have thought about lots of things I never thought about before, because I always thought I was normal. I'm glad to have an explanation to my quirky ways. Thanks. Sorry to be annoying. :) :?

I have a love and hate relationship to it now, I have acquired some disorders as well. I have loved the way I was in the past when I was happy with my difference, I used to be so happy in "my own world", but for a few years now I have really tried to be somebody else because the person I am does not always fit, it is very hard trying to be normal, because I for one can not live from my obsessions (at this moment) and I have been tired of being accused of being a dilettante.

I want to thank you guys for your patience with me.

Once I learned of my having AS, things got much easier for me. As you said it is very hard trying to be normal and although I still do try to do that to some extent, it is much easier to deal with 'feeling different' now that I know why I feel different. That helps a LOT. I also learned to accept and even appreciate my quirks and obsessions, instead of them making me feel even more like an alien.

And hey, I don't understand why you are constantly thinking you are annoying and apologizing for yourself. You are not annoying, and you don't demand any more patience than anyone else here.

I agree with B&B. Things have gotten a lot easier since I discovered there is an actual reason for the way my mind works and the way I act, especially regarding social awkwardness, lack of empathy, my mood swings and rage and meltdowns, and my odd quirks. I always thought I was just a freak, and a domestic abuser for having one sided screaming matches with my wife, but eveything slots into place now and through understanding myself I can move on.

Glad you are feeling this way but try and see your self diagnosis as a means of moving on. :) Still be happy in your dream world.

13243546, I think I was right in saying previously that you are indeed liked here, and people respect you. There is a place for you in this world where others can understand you.
