Ban crazy or what?

Recently I haven't been here because I have made a few friends on Wrong Planet. But the crowd there's just as bad as it was on Delphi. One lady in her mid-30's there wants nothing to do with me because I give her grief she says and another man's out to get me because he thinks I'm a con-artist. He's told others there to ignore me because he thinks I'm training myself to beg more for help. One of the friends I do have ignores and says stupid things to me. A pattern I noticed is that when I come in sad or mad that someone will speak to me in private and I talk to them for a long time sometimes hours. But then when I leave or they do, I feel very sad, lonely and often angry. One woman in there claimed that if my behavior didn't improve or my outlook on life didn't change that I could go to a psych ward. Often, it seems like as soon as the shoulder is cried on and the anger lessens, they go away and never return. I have even been threatened by the Admins of that room to stop my "begging" and "complaining" ways that I could be kicked out. The woman who was the op even picked on me after I spoke to her. She was very rude in the initial conversation. The majority of the friends I do have are rarely around anymore. This has only been for a few months but it seems longer. It's gotten so bad that it's messing with me mentally and physically as well. I no longer go to bed at a decent time. Now I have been banned from it for posting a channel that's supposed to be secret. I don't know when I can go back. Possibly never. This incident happened before. Twice. I was banned from a Nar-Anon website because of an incident with other members of a chat room. A fight ensued and then the admin banned me from the site.

I don't understand why this happens to me other than the fact that I have issues communicating online and off due to Asperger's. I can never go back to the Nar-Anon site and now can't go to the chat room at Wrong Planet. Somebody help me!

Seems like getting people off side is an issue with AS folke. Then we let others have too much power over us with their words and harshness.

The moderator/admin chucky is very fair and would let you know immediately if there is a problem.

WP has terrible moderators. I mean, they're really pathetic. I'm tempted to humour the impulse to have a giant rant about the site but I won't because I already have done here and on other forums enough times xD.
I've not been here long, but I wouldn't say I've seen any of the moderators or admins do anything unjustified in terms of banning and such. They also don't take sides, unlike on WP.

WP has some nice users, but the board itself isn't great. Everything from the poor staff, to the bad colors used in the design, to the slow servers (among many other things) equate to a mediocre board. Staff is my main issue; they need a change of staff. If I'd have the WP mods on my forum, I'd give 90% of them the boot and give the remaining ones sensible guidelines to go by. If they wouldn't live up to my expectations, off they'd go. All they'd do is lower the quality of my forum; I wouldn't accept that.

They have lots of issues with people harassing each other. That hardly ever happens on forums that have good mods. Staff have control over a board and can prevent online communities from developing dim mentalities.

I've been here on and off but the reason I've stopped coming's because I was there. I have returned for the lack of options now. Now there's barely anywhere else to go for me.

I've tried Hikiculture but the site's isn't really interesting at all. It really is boring and lame. I don't feel welcome there. That's why I left.

I made a rather, upon reflection, dramatic exit from WP. I can't really go back. The other forum I used to go on for people with ASDs I also left, but way more dramatically and definitely can't go back.
I joined this site because it was being advertised on Mental Health Matters(I was obsessed with personality disorders and the site had so many resources[which upon further research don't seem to be very reputable...] so yeah) and thought I'd just join it and lurk around for a bit. Then I started posting in the AS forum, first just to ask some questions to see if people can relate, but then I noticed it was actually a decent forum and decided to stick around xD.
I suppose we're in a sort of similar situation... sort of... LOL...

Welcome back Marv. Can I make a suggestion? - Will you only come to this forum for the time being and ignore all others? You know that this place is 'safe' and understanding. I honestly cannot see how you will cause any problems here. You are a good-hearted person, but - and I genuinely mean this - you need a break right now. I view this place as a respite from life's troubles. So, please stay and partake in the different threads. You can continue to contact me in private too of course.

The site isn't even half a year old yet - this is why there's not as much activity as you might like there to be.

You must realize that approximately 1% of forums become as successful as HC currently is. Most forums crash and burn, and never "bloom" at all. HC is still blooming.

Forums don't automatically get thousands of users. Only the most successful boards get this big.

I actually missed coming to this place.

But now I don't have to anymore. I'll continue looking for something interesting here. But nothing's really gotten to that point yet.

What exactly do you want to find in a web-forum, Marv? There isn't meant to be anything overly exciting about this place. This website a a whole is for people with mental problems to seek comfort and advice from others, preferably from those who asre going through the same thing(s) as them. So, it's basic, but it's effective.
