The AS forum/board layout

Postby English-Mancunian » Thu Sep 23, 2004 12:08 am

Hi everyone. :)

This is my first time on the forum, and I was actually looking for a different matter when I found this site, but noticed there was an AS sub forum so thought I would come and say a few things.

First of all,I think this is a good forum, even better for the fact it allows guests to post so lazy people like myself can post before taking the time to register, not many sites do that now,and I can see why as people take advantage of it and spam.

My second comment is,why is the AS board (and I might as well mention the AD/HD board while i'm at it) under childhood disorders?
I have both of those amongst other LDs and have never lost any related problems I have despite being almost 21 now.

I am sorry if there is an easy explanation to it,but it just looks like that to me,if that makes any sense? :?:

No particular reason that I can tell.

Asperger's is diagnosed more in children than adults, at least in the US, but only because Asperger's Syndrome has only been known to English speakers for the last 10-15 years or so.

English,

Welcome to the forums!

We categorized the Disorders the same way the DSM IV-TR does. They call Asperger's a "Disorder Usually Diagnosed in Childhood" but the long name didn't really fit with the forum database we use so we shortened it to "Childhood Disorders".
