Having a break

Postby rlc » Fri Oct 24, 2008 4:13 pm

I'm not going to be around here for a while. Just lately I have been spending so much time on the Internet (on this and various other forums) that I am not doing everything I should around the house. The problem is once I start on the forums I get engrossed in them for hours, and lose all sense of time. I haven't been out the house (apart from to work) for days because I'd rather play on my computer.

I know if I carry on like this I will withdraw into myself and probably go into a depression. Just today, someone said something at work and I cried for hours. It wasn't even that harsh, just a comment about something I didn't do earlier.

Anyway, I'm off work for a week (don't you love school holidays?). I'm going to completely quit using my computer and catch up with some housework, see my family and generally recharge myself. I might even start doing some exercise (I bought a DVD in July and have only used it once).

I'll be back once I feel better, so hopefully I will see you soon.

Hi dude,

I completely understand what you're feeling here (about becoming engrossed in the form). I mean, just look at my post count. There are times, for example, when this website becomes part of my OCD, and I end-up getting stressed over it, instead of it benefitting me.

Anyway, if you don't feel like returning here, then don't worry. People come and go all the time here and, when they 'go', I take it as a good sign.
