(Stolen topic from another forum)
I used to do this a lot as a child, and sometimes still do. Like, not really having my own thoughts, and the thoughts I think are mine are often just mimicry of other people? Are your thoughts or views very easily influenced or changeable?
I assumed it was a BPD thing.

I think for BPD, it has to do with lacking an identity. So, you pretty much pick up any that come along. For ASD, it's trying to fit in so you mimic or mask in order to do so. That's my understanding at least.
