Myers Briggs

What's your personality type? Mine's INFP, sometimes INTP. How common is it for aspies to also be feelers? My dad, the aspie, is INTP. My mom, the bipolar, is INFJ.

i'm INTJ. typically, aspies are either INTJ or INTP.

Does that mean I'm sometimes aspie? a jekyll and hyde thing? A mismash of two things that are so different they cannot be integrated? My neurotpical/aspie split on that test (the first one) was like 55/45 NT to AS. Which is exactly what my F/T split of the myers-briggs is. It's been as close as 51/49.

So I'm roughly half Aspie, with a slight lean towards neurotypical.

Which is what you might predict from being raised by one parent with AS and one with BP. I wonder if there's certain situations where one comes out or the other. At work, I'm all aspie.

I wonder if that also means I'm sometimes borderline or bipolar.

My dad is likely on the spectrum if I am. My mother had paranoid schizophrenia and bipolar. I'm an interesting mix.

I've heard INTJs are among the most confident. Do you find that to be true?

It's interesting how many of us had one parent with autism and another with bipolar.

I was always INTJ, but recent tests place me more towards INFJ..

I wonder how many of us are actually I though.. or have life experiences simply made us withdraw and thus assume we're natural introverts.?
I like my own company, but given that the definition of an introvert is someone that gains energy.. recharges by being on their own = i actually think i would have been either extrovert or ambivert if my social experiences had been better.

... when i was very young it's alleged that i'd talk to anyone. oddly enough, i've started sliding back towards that kind of thing of late. so, yes, i don't doubt that early experiences have a lot to do with this. but i think it's all wrapped up with the aspie thing of feeling too much and then shutting down.

I'm confident in what I know and my skills and I am not afraid to let you know when I don't have that confidence. I'm not socially confident because my brain to mouth pathway struggles at times. Most times, I just care not to talk unless I have something more useful to add and I have had time to frame it in my mind. There's more to all this social stuff but it sort of depends on the day.

I'm ISFJ which i think is pretty accurate since i'm very protective towards people i love. Though i guess i don't have much social skills as a isfj would have.

I've also heard that INTJs are the most intellectually honest of all the types.
