i was thinking about this last night ... and i've come to the conclusion that it's probably best if i don't express an opinion about such matters anymore. there are plenty of self-diagnosis tools available these days, both in books and on-line. score consistently highly for autistic traits in these and you've very likely to be diagnosable. my view has always been tempered by the potential limitations of a diagnosis - they do exist. i got unfairly dismissed from my job. but peoples' opinions will always differ on such matters, depending on their own experience.

Hi, I wanted to say that I have a diagnosis of Asperger's syndrome and a lot of the things that you had mentioned I can relate to. I was diagnosed about 8 years ago, when I was having a severe depression due to my disability causing me a lot of problems in my life.
But the way you are now is a lot like how I feel normally. It did help me a lot to learn I had Asperger's, and I was able to access groups and services which helped me.
