The only instrument i have tried is one of those crappy school owned electronic piano with the DJ button (anyone get that reference i kind of wonder if they were a common type of piano for British schools?) in mandatory music classes i had to go to. I wasn't good at the learning bit or the playing bit. Dyspraxia probably had something to do with this but i ain't really a music listener anyway.
As a child i also wanted to try to learn the guitar but i never tried it and as a adult i still have that idea stuck in my head along with learning martial arts again. Music has also grown on me as i became a young adult (though i still dislike most of the classics). However, solo piano song covers on youtube can be nice to listen to.
Mind you when i am trying to be productive and type something, sometimes i really want to mentally curse at my dyspraxia. I want to write stories for a living but to get closer to that goal i think i need to relearn typing so i can type with multiple fingers instead of my normal weird self taught 1 finger typing style. Though i think if i improved my mental state and dedication maybe i could manage with this slow as heck typing style of mine.
Not really related but i want to share my experience of dypraxia where it affected me in a not so obvious way such as my sucky sports abilities. Ya know i even sort of think one finger typing is cool and uniq... Well maybe not unique per say maybe rare but anyways the thing is it was really impractical in any IT class i had and is one the contributing factors to my fail grade in IT in school.
