Based on hindsights from Seabreeze, wondering if many of you guys feel like they're feeling people's emotions too intensely - as opposed to the commonly held view on Asperger ?
And I'm curious how many of you who identifies with the criterion above also identifies with being a MBTI feeling type ?

i'm not so sure about other peoples' emotions, however, i can certainly feel my own too intensely and they'll shutdown, as a form of self-protection, leaving me feeling numb. i'm an INTJ.

I've heard that this is something INTJs do, retreat to make sense of their feelings. That sucks though if you're feeling numb as a result. It happens to me when I lack the tools to solve an emotional conundrum, i.e. when it's easier to repress the emotion than to make light of it.

I did not see that coming ... And this is how my grand theory is stillborn.
Do you guys feel emotionally numb outside the scope of depressive states ? (Please forgive my ignorance)

my feeling were shutdown for decades. it took a major trauma to jolt them out of that. we could debate how depressed i was throughout that. i guess there might be some correlation.

Thanks for the explanation STM, what you're saying makes a lot of sense.
