I am 19 years old and I have mild Asperger's syndrome and I am concerned if this is normal. I know that trouble putting thoughts into words is a symptom of Asperger's Syndrome but what about trouble making a point and structuring sentences? I do feel like this stems from trouble putting thoughts into words but I am not 100% positive. Like sometimes, if I am having a disagreement with someone over the internet, I have a little bit of a hard time putting my thoughts into words and as a result, I get a poorly worded idea. I am trying to think clearly in a short amount of time so I can reply immediately and on top of that, I can sometimes get a little frustrated when I disagree with someone depending on what I am arguing about so I think it adds to that. Most of the time when I look back at what I wrote after I already replied, I realize what I wrote is a little hard to understand with the way I structured my sentence and how I do not explain myself clearly. I get "I do not know what you are arguing about" from people a lot and I sometimes have to repeat myself in order to give them a better understanding. I usually do realize quickly after that it was poorly worded. Is this Asperger's or can this be something else wrong with me? I wanted to know if there are other people with Aspergers who go through this or not. I am worried because I have an uncle with schizophrenia. I know trouble with syntax can be an early warning sign of schizophrenia BUT I still enjoy social interaction like I always do. Mind you, I can sometimes even still focus on my English essays and whatnot if I am enjoying it and I really put in the effort and get into the flow of it even WITHOUT my medicine (I have ADHD-PI too).

I get the same way. Also I get really flustered if I'm arguing/trying to make a point in-person, like my fight or flight activates but at the wrong time, so I can't think straight and I get nervous. Having a hard time structuring sentences and making points might be related to ADHD? Because our minds can wander all over the place, we can get lost on our way from point A to point B. So we go off a few tangents and then confuse even ourselves as to what exactly we're trying to get at. Maybe people who don't have ADHD can make their points more straightforwardly. But it could be a part of Asperger's as well, as you might not be sure how others will interpret what you're saying. You say it in a way that makes sense to you, but unaware of how confusing or meandering it might be to someone else? I'm not sure. It could be a mix of both. I have ADHD and possibly Asperger's as well.

Maybe you have Apraxia of Speech?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SlBRph2iQTs"Apraxia of speech (CAS) is a motor speech disorder. People with this have problems saying sounds, syllables, and words. This is not because of muscle weakness or paralysis. The brain has problems planning to move the body parts (e.g., lips, jaw, tongue) needed for speech."https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apraxia_of_speechDue to their self-awareness of the speech errors and inconsistencies, they are able correct themselves.
Alternatively, maybe you have some circumstantial speech going on.
I do relate to what you said. I have the exact same this going on myself and it's a right pain in the ass to deal with.
