Being Nocturnal...

Postby Supersonicfreak15 » Fri Feb 05, 2016 7:02 am

Hey everyone, I'm back from the dead. I was on WrongPlanet for a while but couldn't find much peace there so i left.

so i think the last time i was here it was about 2012... since then i left school twice, lost my grandmother and my Hedgehog Rose.

but, got a new hedgehog Silver, a dog Lola, a cat Pumpkin and a niece, Mila.

life has ultimately improved for the most part you know cant complain, i live on my own in my Grandfathers garage attic, its very small, only two rooms in all (a Livingroom/dining room/kitchen and a bedroom/bathroom/study) its got running water, heat and electricity and its free so im happy like this,

i did drop out of school again, i was having severe and re-occurring panic attacks and meltdowns when i was at school so i just gave up. but when i gave up school my sleep schedule changed, i fall asleep around 3-5 am and wake up at the same time Pm, i cant fix it, i stay up all day sometimes and fall asleep at night but it only lasts a few days, after that im back to falling asleep when the sun comes up...

anyone else have this problems?

you don't say you're depressed, so i'll guess that you're not getting enough sunshine. the sunshine that falls on your eyes synchronises your biological clock. not going out in the daylight and using artificial lighting affects this. depression is linked with sleeplessness because serotonin is used to produce melatonin, which is essential for sleep.
something knocked me out' the trees
now i'm on my knees
... don't you know you're gonna shock the monkey

there is one thing you must be sure of
i can't take any more
... don't you know you're gonna shock the monkey

don't like it but i guess i'm learning

... shock the monkey to life

I also suffer from pretty much the exact same things you do. Currently I myself am still studying as a second year high school student but classes started one month ago and I am yet to go so I don't think I'm a high school student anymore. I also have panic attacks, sleeping difficulties, and the only way I can stay up and sleep normally is when I force myself to stay awake which is not easy but rather it feels like your own personal hell for around 12 hours.
According to my psychiatrist this is a result of not having a schedule. So the best solution is ever to go to school and do something during the day, or get a job during the day, or remain nocturnal and work during the night. Either way becoming nocturnal takes an emotional toll at first due to the lack of socialization and the only way to create new relationships are either online or at nightlife hot-spots.
So to which ever one you choose, I wish you good-luck.
