I have received both diagnoses. Yet the H.F.A from more qualified individual’s differentiated symptomatologically by speech delay developmentally.
Who here also has an A.S.D diagnosis?

Hey,
I am in the process of getting a diagnosis of Asperger's Syndrome. I'm seeing my Clinical Psychologist within the next hour in fact. I was at my GP this morning who believes that I have Asperger's and wherever I look I always have every symptom of it.
To me I am relieved to finally get diagnosed. It explains so many things in my life and I already feel more self-confidant. What is your take on your own diagnoses?
Personally I would not worry about the different diagnoses. Higher Functioning Autism and Asperger's Syndrome are at the same end of the Autism Spectrum Disorder. They both essentially describe the same pattern of behaviours akin to people like us.
Kevin.

It's just a label, but the label allows me services with an organization now that is more attentively involved then that of governmental services.
