Just to be clear, I didn't really mean that sort of thing, shock_the_monkey, although it is possible that you could have drawn that assumption.

What I meant was UK dating sites (if you're in the UK) with people who have moved from abroad and now live in the UK (for example, there are a lot of Polish and Eastern European girls in the UK now), and also online chat rooms where foreigners chat in English as well.

The type of sites you're talking about are mostly frequented by scammers and wealthy men getting taken for a ride.

That's the worst end of it, but what I was saying was that getting scammed could still happen even not on those types of sites, so it's always better to be aware of any potential scam tactics.

just to be clear, i didn't think you did. and i wasn't talking about websites, where you don't really know who you're dealing with. i was talking about dating agencies that vet their clientele and arrange actual visits to the country where the girl lives and generally seek to promote meaningful relationships.
