Things that annoy/irritate you as an Aspie

I understand bad smells and high pitched noises. I can't be in the house when someone cleans the bathroom and I can't stand indoor swimming pools or anywhere in the entire building that houses the swimming pool because the smell of bleach and chlorine (among others) burns my sinuses like wasabi.

My most hated high-pitched noise is the sound of a screaming baby/child. It makes my brain HURT.


I'm odd in that I don't find religious or spirituality irritating, and I'm religious myself. But how other people express their religiousness/spirituality and try to get into other people's spiritual business irritates the hell out of me.

I so agree with this, i find those issues to be very personal and never understood why people need to be so upfront about it.

Oh and i also can't stand sunlight (i don't leave home without my sunglasses even in winter), hot weather and humidity. I'm definitely not a summer person.

When I was little, loud noises, and especially motorcycles, used to scare me. I hated motorcycles so much! Then I grew out of being scared, and motorcycles no longer bothered me but I still didn't like the noises. Now it still bothers me but I can deal.

What bothers me as an aspie? Not being able to finish making a point that I've started to make. For instance, I'll be having a conversation with someone, and I'll start to make some point, but before I get to the end the person I'm talking to goes on a tangent based on the first thing I say, and I can't steer it back to what I wanted to say in the first place!

Another thing that annoys me are drivers who ignore the laws of the road. Not stopping at stop signs, skipping their turn, speeding, weaving in and out of traffic, not using a turn signal, not checking their blind spot, tailgating. Especially tailgating. It infuriates me so much.
