having read your thread 'Fell in love through the Internet with an aspie' in the Relationship Forum, i'm a little bemused as to exactly what you're looking for here. in that thread you stated ...

Sponge wrote:He promises that he will come to me and stay and we will be a family. He just has no money to move to Russia. I don't want to wait forever!! I don't want to get used to him more and get nothing from him except chats in Skype.

... so, it seems to me a little odd that you would be looking for yet another internet relationship. and aspies are notoriously bad at relationships anyway. so, it sees even odder that you should want another aspie relationship, given that the one you refer to in that thread hardly seems to have worked out well for you.

i don't know, but you come across as rather desperate to me. and for no apparent reason too. if i were you, i'd stick to real world relationships and forget the internet. or at the very least, try internet dating in your own country so there's some prospect of actually meeting someone that you can have a real world relationship. and i'd also forget about aspies in general and look for someone you can actually relate to rather than someone who has a particular medical diagnosis.

Thank you for your reply!
First, I am not looking for relationship here. I use the Internet to get new knowledge.

Yes, before I met my boyfriend I even didn't hear about AS. I learned much about it and I am encouraged.

I repeat again - I am not looking for a man here, I'd like to talk to girls very much. And, obviously, I don't need relationship through the Internet. All I need is friendship with a good person. With a person with different opinion, who has an open mind and see situations from another side.

Persons with AS are different for me and I highly appreciate them for their outlook and unusual view at things. I want to share experiences. I always liked extraordinary persons. Aspies impress me.

Second, apies usually are very shy and I have almost no chances to meet them in reality, so I use this forum )) Moreover, such people hide their-selves fantastic!

How can I find an interesting person with AS?! They won't even talk to me in reality! Too shy for it! My boyfriend said that he would never talk to me first because he thought I'd never pay attention on him. He thinks we are like Beauty and the Beast. I am very happy I found him and that I started to talk to him first. I hope I helped him a bit. Now he doesnt think he is bad and he thinks he is good enough to attract a girl.

I want to find friends from other countries because it is even more interesting and it gives experience.

Friends, I am waiting for you :D Do not be shy!

fair enough. but your use of the expression "sole aspie friend" and your previous posts give a very different impression. synonyms for 'sole' taken from microsoft word include: 'only'; 'solitary'; 'one and only'; 'single'; 'individual'; 'lone'; 'singular'; and 'exclusive', which coupled with your concern about your internet boyfriends marital status do rather give the impression that you're looking for a relationship rather than just a friendship.

Remember, I am not a native speaker :) Don't look for hidden meanings and do not read between the lines, please. I am only looking for persons with interesting thoughts and different views

I meant a good friend or maybe close friend and I named it "sole". I didn't mean "boyfriend". We use similar word in Russian душевный which means "soulful".

I already found my love. I still love my the only one man and I keep waiting for him. I hope he is just slow (but it is another topic).

whilst i appreciate that your first language is not english, and it always impresses me how well other nationalities pick up english (my french is pretty minimal), i have to go with the information available to me (if there had been more in your original post here, i wouldn't have bothered looking through your prior posts elsewhere on this forum). and sole and soul (or indeed soulful) are two completely different things in english. anyway, the internet friendships i've had have by and large been decidedly disappointing. nevertheless, i wish you well.

PS: you clearly have a very precise mind. i can't remember anyone else ever bothering with the underscores in my username. a throwback to my computer programming days!!!

upon reflection, whilst synonyms for 'soul' take from microsoft word include: 'spirit'; 'essence'; 'character'; 'heart'; 'core'; 'psyche'; and 'person', which are clearly different to those for 'sole', in the context of 'sole friend' or 'soul friend', i would probably have thought they both implied a level of intimacy beyond that of a purely platonic relationship.

what you want is an internet friend or i-friend. i have 4 in my e-mail account, 3 of which i met on this forum. only 1 is still very occasionally in touch with me. i also have 7 real world friends in there too, of which i hear from 2, but those are my brother and my special friend. so, even my real world friends by and large can't be bothered keeping in touch with me (and i've basically given up chasing after them now too)!!! and my sister didn't even make that list as we are pretty much estranged now.

shock_the_monkey, thank you for the lesson and for compliments! :D
Yes, of course I meant soul/soulful, not sole, my mistake. I will call it i-friend in future.

It seems you are the only one who is interested in my posts.

Unfortunately, extraordinary persons hide their-selves (even here!)

I have a very few i-friends and less real friends. I am not going to make huge amount of friends and do not have time for them then. I prefer to have 1-3 friends, but keep in touch with them often.
I have many good acquaintances, but they are not that close to tell them all my secrets.

i'm naturally curious. i always have been. and i have a policy of mopping up un-answered posts on this forum where i can.

Sponge wrote:Unfortunately, extraordinary persons hide their-selves (even here!)

i'm not sure they're hiding. busy with their own lives or just nothing to add is more likely.

i'm getting the impression that you're a bit of an introvert??? i'm fairly shy and retiring. but i do have that very aspie thing of wanting social contact but being no good at it!!!

so, you have secrets. i'm impressed!!!

Yeah! I am an introvert for sure. I am fairly shy and retiring too, hehe. I like to be in a company and talk to people. Sometimes, though I get tired of it. It depends of my mood. I don't like being in loud company for long. I am interested in learning persons eye-to-eye )))

Maybe you are right and people are just busy with their own problems. More likely they are not interested in me. That's sad.
