Nice. I think whoever wrote that is SPOT-ON. It's like the thing about echolalea, the articles written by NT's are completely wrong as far as their guesses on why we do things.

Oh wow, my fingers look ravaged because of this. Might be a nervous habit, but some of the others on the list (hand clasping, tapping, drumming) I do frequently. Besides, I tend to engage in all of these when I'm bored.

It's interesting that they included the biting of the actual fingers. I do this all the time, biting the skin off my fingers, and I've never realized that others did it too.
