No offence intended, but you are too argumentative for me, m8...and I concede defeat in trying to have a reasonable constructive discussion with you... ;)
I don't like debating these days and I have a particular problem with devil's advocacy...
All the best...and get back to me when you get rid of the debating bug... ;)

if i had thought you were agreeing with what i said i wouldn't have felt the need to clarify what i meant. and if you call this an argument then heaven knows what you'd call what i call an argument!!! i get the impression we have very different perspectives.

I tell people who also have it, but not those who don't, since i'm afraid of what they'll think. =[

Either people think im a grown up adult agent and a dick, or people will think I'm a psychologically stunted person who is to be pitied, but still a dick.

I chose the former for 1000, alex.

Same here...
I am by nature, not very flexible and really need to be allowed to do my own thing.
This is typical for asperians, I believe...

Well I don't give a crap what they think these days, since I am over the hill and retired...

And I have enough personal enlightenment to realise I don't have to respect or embrace other people's stupidity...or the dysfunctionality of a broken social/community system...

I don't feel a need to divulge that information, save for friends who are also Aspies (but only if they tell me first).

At first, I never told anyone I had aspergers. The only people who actually knew were my parents and some teachers.

However, later I've become more open about it. I started by just telling my closest friends when they were complaining for the one-millionth time about how wierd I was acting. Then I basicly started telling anyone about it if what we were talking about, or what we where doing, had any relation to me having AS what so ever. So now it's actually quite a bunch of people who know, although it has never helped in making them understand me better, which was the entire point of telling them.

So in the end, I won't really advice telling anyone, unless you for sure know that the person will be able to help you.

"You don't have.." Oh man. It's always sad when someone doesn't take someone seriously. So sorry. Don't let that person rule how you act, present and choose your future. Keep being you! Everyone else is taken ;) I heard that once and loved it.

As for me, I haven't told a soul next to my
Mother. I have thought about it, but always felt it was best not to, I think it's good to keep it quiet personally.
