I had the same problem when I went to college. It didn't go away no matter how much I tried to pretend I was okay. On the bright side, though, therapy doesn't take long for most people. Try cognitive behavioural therapy if you can get it, that's usually considered the best treatment for anxiety. Good luck :)

Poor guy =( I had something similar to this - I've had panic attacks since I was 10 or so, but after I went to the doctor at age 16 she told me it was just psychological etc (I thought I had a heart condition or something). I was great after that, from 16-18, but then I went away to college and got really stressed out about grades, homesickness, etc. and boom, in math class one day I had an attack. I got up and left - it was awful. Of course I started to have one every time I went to that class - I'd make excuses to myself for a good reason to leave (forgot to take my vitamin, etc)

I did end up failing that class but I luckily passed my others, went to the doctor (even though I really hate going), and got on Lexapro for a while - the panic left for a while but occasionaly still tries to come back. I just won't let it overtake me anymore. I focus on deep breathing, I tell myself that it's just a panic attack and nothing else, just ignore it and it will go away - and it eventually does. I hope you find a solution for yourself - good luck.
